A few weeks ago I met up with the lovely NorwichBloggers at Warwick Street Social to take part in a cocktail masterclass! This is something I've always wanted to do, so I was so so excited! The aim of the evening was to choose a cocktail as our welcome cocktail for the christmas meal. We made 5 cocktails in total, a classic mojito, a bramble, a candy cane, a pumpkin spiced one and a gingerbread cocktail! It was so fun learning how to make each of the cocktails, although I can't remember all the recipes off the top of my head now!! (Should have made notes). I love the way each of them was so different, with such different flavours and presentations for each one.
Each of the cocktails was explained to us and then we got the chance to make one in pairs. I made the bramble cocktail with christie, which was going really well under the bartender smashed the glass while trying to get it out of the shaker! So we got 2 attempts at making it!! The whole evening definitely gave me lots of ideas of my little pinterest cocktail cart that I'd like in my house one day. Also, the cocktails on the menu of Warwick Street Social (specifically the Lemon Meringue) were divine. I really need to take my boyfriend there next time he comes to visit.
We were in our own separate part of the pub, with a mini bar presenting all the alcohol and ingredients needed to make the cocktails. Personally my favourite was a tie between the Bramble and Candy Cane. I do love a sweet cocktail so this is probably why I liked these the best. We also got some chips to nibble on throughout the evening, which were super delicious! After a long day at uni, this was definitely a really enjoyable evening, and I'm looking forwards to seeing the lovely norwich bloggers at the christmas meal in a few weeks time! Have you ever been to a cocktail making class?
