WEDDING GUEST MAKEUP LOOK

At the weekend I was invited to my boyfriend's cousins wedding reception! Now I love weddings, there's just something about them that's so special. So inevitably I got very excited about what I was going to wear and how to do my makeup! I practised quite a few times to decide how I wanted my makeup to go, and this is the finished look. I also wore false eyelashes which is a first for me, but these lovely ones were sent to me by the lovely Esqido to try out.

First step I did was apply a moisturiser to my face to make sure my skin was prepared for foundation. I'm one of those people who always does eyes before face, so then I primed my eyelids with Urban Decay Primer Potion. For my first eyeshadow crease colour I used MAC's Omega. This is a great first crease colour that isn't too intense and helps ease the blending process. Then I moved on and applied MAC's Quarry all over the lids. This is a matte purple taupe colour which I've used more as an all over lid colour more and more recently. To darken the outer corners of my eyes I first blended some of MAC's Satin Taupe onto the outer edge of my lids, creating a darker more smokey look. To really add definition to my eyes I applied MAC's Mystery, a matte dark brown which I applied with a small angled brush to create a v shape into my crease. All blended out with a fluffy brush created a lovely purple toned smokey effect. To add some shimmer I used some MAC Fix+ and KIKO 04 eyeshadow right on the inner corner on my eyes. This really helped brighten my eyes and add that pop effect. For eyeliner I used the Collection Extreme Felt Tip Liner which is the best eyeliner for noobs like me! After a small coat of mascara, Max Factor's False Lash Effect, I applied the Esqido Mink Eyelashes. I used the Esqido Eyelash Glue which made the process of applying the lashes really easy. To finish the eyes I added some Avon Glimmerstick to my lower lash line and waterline, and Avon Supershock Eyeliner on my upper waterline.

For my eyebrows I used my favourite brow duo at the moment, Archery Brow Pencil by Soap and Glory, followed by the Benefit Gimme Brow in Shade 3. I never wear anything but these two on my brows these days and I'm so happy with how they make my brows look. My skin is something I wanted to keep pretty natural looking, so I used my Revlon Nearly Naked Foundation. This was applied with my beauty blender, and gives a skin-like layer of foundation that allows your freckles to peek through. It also lasts really well on my skin. To add some colour back into my cheeks I used the Max Factor Cream Blush in Soft Pink, which is a newly discovered old favourite. It looks so natural on the cheeks and adds the perfect healthy glow to your skin. I added a bit of bronze to my face with NARS Laguna Bronzer all over my face, and and Benefit Hoola Bronzer to add some fake cheekbones to my moon face. To complete the look I used my Burberry Kisses Lipstick in Nude Pink, which is slowly running out and makes me so sad! I really need to buy the full size of this as it seriously goes with any makeup look, and is the perfect light pink nude shade for my skin tone. The last step was setting everything in place with MAC Fix+. I'm really happy how this look came out, what do you think of how I did my makeup?
