*First of all I apologise for the lack of posts recently - sadly I thought I would be able to keep up with posting and being back at university, but alas that hasn't been the case. Hopefully I'll be able to post now and then but until I have a completely free afternoon I'm going to struggle to upload. Thank you for 700 followers, it means a lot to me you're all still here! Just bare with me for now, I'll try and get back to normal asap!*

If you've followed my blog you'll know that for years and years I've been using the Max Factor False Lash Effect mascara. It's ability to hold a curl, the blackest formula and separating plastic brush meant that I just returned to it bottle after bottle. However, one day a while ago I was in Boots and I decided it was time for a change. As much as I love the MFFLE at £10.99 for a tube it can get pricey especially when I use it everyday. So I started the search for a cheaper alternative. When I came to the Maybelline stand I noticed the Rocket Volume Mascara. I knew that Estee aka essie button raved about this mascara a while ago, so I thought it was worth a go. And I'm happy to say that I really really love this mascara.

This mascara is pretty much the perfect everyday mascara and it's priced around £6.99 so considerable cheaper than my former holy grail mascara. The plastic wand has really short bristles which help to catch all the little eyelashes. I bought the waterproof formula as I find this really helps to hold my straight lashes after they have been curler. I'd say this is a dupe for the MFFLE apart from the fact this is slightly less on the black side, which is why I tend to opt for this in the day and the MFFLE for a more dramatic look or a night out makeup. I'm so happy that I've found another mascara that I love, and I can tell this will be a product I repurchase as soon as I run out of it.

Have you tried this mascara? What are your holy grail mascara offerings?
