This week across most universities is Freshers Week. A week of exciting activities, opportunities to meet many new people and possibly some late nights. Alongside all this there might be lectures to contend with as well. So today I thought I'd bring you a quick and easy makeup look to make you appear fresh and awake for anything in store.

If I've been out the night before I like to keep my makeup very fresh and simple, and after being at uniervsity for a year I think I've managed to perfect this look. For my eyes I sweep a light pinky colour all over my lids after priming with the Urban Decay Primer Potion, I like to go for a colour that has a little bit off shimmer to it and so brightens up the eyes. I've been opting for the Wet'n'Wild Walking On Eggshells Trio at the moment. Then to add a bit of definition to my lashes I draw a thin line of Avon's Glimmerstick in Brown Glow. I find this colour makes my blue eyes pop and also makes my eyes look a little bigger and more awake. After this I simply finish the eyes off with some mascara, I've been loving the Maybelline Rocket Volume Mascara, completing the eyes with Rimmel's Nude Eyeliner to cancel out any tired redness and a bit of the same Avon liner under the lash line. I perfect my brows by quickly using the Soap and Glory Archery Brow Pencil in Hot Chocolate. Not essential but a step I like to include.

For my face base I quickly grab a pump of the Rimmel Match Perfection Foundation, this lightweight foundation is great for quick days as it can be blended in with fingers and gives a healthy glowing look to the skin (like you've had hours of sleep). If needed I pop a bit of concealer under my eyes and around my nose, namely the Seventeen Stay Time Concealer. To add some brightness back into the cheeks I'll opt for a cream blusher, today I chose the Stila Convertible Colour in Petunia. To complete the whole look I popped a bit of the Bobbi Brown Lipgloss in Bright Pink onto my lips, which I find really helps to finish off the bright healthy makeup look I'm aiming for.

What makeup do you gravitate towards when you're in a rush, or feeling a bit lacklustre from the night before?
