SOMETHING OLD, SOMETHING NEW

When it comes to repurchasing beauty products there are some things that I just will not stray from. On the other hand there are a few products that I love testing out and trying new versions. So when I went into Boots the other week to pick up some bits that I needed I came out with a few new products, and some staples that will always be in my stash. In terms of those I won't stray from I bought another bottle of the Garner Micellar Cleaning Water. The amount of product you get for your pennies with this is amazing, especially as it's often on offer. This is my first cleanse and helps to melt away all the makeup from my face. I have tried other micellar waters in the past but this is the one I've been returning to religiously. As well as the large bottle I picked up a travel 100ml size bottle. Since discovering Lisa Eldridge on youtube years ago a nude eyeliner has become a must have in my makeup routine. The Rimmel Scandaleyes Eyeliner in Nude is creamy and applies like a dream, as well as being the perfect colour to cancel out any redness in the waterline. I was also in need of a new pair of eyelash curlers so I picked up my trusty Boots ones, they're pretty cheap but work really well with my stubborn straight lashes. Something that's sort of new sort or not is the Urban Decay Primer Potion in Eden. Old in the sense that I've own Urban Decays Primer Potion before, however this is a new shade for me. For some reason I got really muddled with the sizes and prises of the UDPP on Debehams which is where I order it from, so I decided to try this one instead. So far I've been impressed, it provides a lovely base for your eyeshadow as well as cancelling out any redness or veining on the eyelids.

As my third Soap and Glory One Heck Of A Blot powder came to an end I decided it was time to branch out. The Maybelline Matte Maker isn't a powder I've heard anything about, however when I swatched it I was impressed by the fine milled consistency of the powder and light shade. The only thing I'm not a fan of is the packaging, I tend to prefer a flip lid than a twist off one. I can't believe I'm actually writing this but I bought a different mascara to my ever-so-blogged-about Max Factor False Lash Effect. After browsing the aisles I decided that A. It was time to be brave and try something new but also that B. I couldn't justify spending another £10.99 on a mascara. The Maybelline Rocket Volume Waterproof mascara caught my eye for its price and also as I'd heard a couple of good reviews about this version, including the stunning Estee (essiebutton). I'm so happy that I love this mascara, it's pretty much identical to the MFFLE but slightly less of an intense black colour which makes it perfect for everyday wear. A new product to me is the Boots Botanics Ultra Calming Night Cream. I've been so bad with my skincare routine lately, so I decided it was time to start building it up again. This moisturiser smells really fresh and clean and makes my skin feel so smooth and healthy. I think this range is very overlooked against the other more well known brands but I'd love to try out some more bits and I've been impressed with what I've tried so far.

Have you picked up anything new recently?
