SUMMER NAIL POLISH PICKS

Summer is officially here, meaning it's time to put away the pastels and bring out the brights. Although I'm well known for not sticking to nail polish traditions I still enjoy having a route through my hundreds of nail polishes in search for that colour that screams summer. This year I have 4 to share with you, and it honestly was hard to choose. Obviously I had to include the infamous Essie Mint Candy Apple. Unfortunately I have the bottle that isn't from the Boots line, meaning the brush isn't the best. However the colour is to die for. A baby bright blue is just right up my street, and even if you're a pale girl like me this polish somehow seems to help you fake that tan.

A firm favourite in the shimmery category is the Models Own Polish in Champagne. This one definitely wins for ease of application, I can apply this 5 minutes before running out of the door and it's shimmery nature creates a streak free opaque application. I can't rave about the ease of this colour, but it's also nice to add a bit of something different to a manicure, moving away from the basic creme finishes. It wouldn't really be a nail polish post without including some Barry M polishes in my world. If you're looking for a super bright colour then look no further. Barry M's Greenberry is perfect if you're looking for a statement look. The Gelly Shine range from Barry M are great in terms of application, opacity and wear time. These stay on my nails for a good 5-8 days without chipping. Another polish from that line that I've been pulling out this summer is Barry M's Dragon. This is your typical pink that is just a staple for summer. I haven't given this polish as much love as it deserves, as it goes with so many different outfits.

What nail polishes will you be pulling out now that the weather is heating up?
