When you look at my mug drawers which house my makeup, half of them are filled with lip products. Although I do wear quite a few different colours all year round, there are certain ones which come to the front in the summer months. My outfits tend to get more simple, with my makeup being the main focus. Today I'm going to be sharing five of my favourite lip products for these summery days. In terms of traditionally lipstick I just have one pick, which comes in the form of Collection's Deluxe Lipstick in Talulah. This is great for everyday wear, and as I have been on placement recently is a good professional colour. The application is really smooth and if you're not a fan of a sweet smelling lipstick then this is one to go for.

Along the similar lines in terms of colour but in the form of a gloss is the Bobbi Brown Lipgloss in Bright Pink. Contrary to its name this lipgloss is fab if you're sporting a bold eye, or if you just fancy something that's low maintenance. This smells like vanilla and the packaging ticks all the atheistic boxes for me. Next up is the Bourjois Colour Boost Lipstain in Peach On The Beach. This stunning coral colour is the perfect balance between wearable and bold, and is also nice and moisturising on the lips. The only downside to this lipstick is that I don't find it overly staining, however that may be due to it's light colouring.

A glossy stain hybrid that is even more moisturising than the previous is the Maybelline Colour Elixir in Alluring Coral. I lusted over these when they were available solely in America, so when they came out in the UK I was all over them. Alluring Coral is a stunning glossy coral, which brightens your whole face. Some may not be a fan of the glossy finish, but with the doe foot applicator it's really easy to maintain throughout the day. Last but not least is another stain, in the form of Revlon's Kissable Balm Stain in Lovesick. This has crazy staining power. I can apply this before going out for the evening, eat and drink, wake up the next morning after removing all of my makeup and the colour stain from this is still hanging around there. I always opt for this if I don't want to be faffed about with touching up all the time. It's also the brightest pink lipstick I own, and always makes me feel ridiculously summery when it graces my lips.

What lipsticks will you be rocking in the warmer weather?

  1. These all look gorgeous, I really need to try and get into pink lips a little more, I always seem to opt for a red/orange or nude!

  2. Such gorgeous shades here! My favourite would be the top right hand one, but I think they're all lovely! x

  3. These are beautiful picks! I haven't tried any of the Maybelline Elixirs but Alluring Coral is gorgeoussss. I tend to go for matte/semi-matte lips during the Summer; right now my favorites are MAC Candy Yum Yum and Milani Matte Diva, both are popping hot pink shades.

  4. ooh i love the look of that collection shade! i'm currently really into mac's spice lip liner, though i can't seem to shake off my love for berry tones even in summer x

  5. Great picks, I need the Maybelline one in my life! I'm going to be wearing Mac's Ever Hip and Vegas Volt lipsticks a lot this summer :)
