There's always certain products that I'm never without, and as soon as I know I'm running low then I have to make a repurchase. First up is the mascara that if you've followed my blog for a while then you'll recognise as a product I never stray from. The Max Factor False Lash Effect Mascara works so well with my straight thin lashes, it has a plastic brush with short bristles which help to get right to the root of the lashes and give them heaps of volume. I sometimes struggle with mascaras holding a curl but this one keeps my lashes looking long and curled all day. The waterproof formula is also easy to melt away with eye makeup remover, meaning no harmful tugging at those sensitive lashes.
When it comes to foundation, the one I've become besotted with is the Rimmel Match Perfection Foundation. I always lean towards a foundation that is light/medium coverage, that covers my redness and lasts all day. This product ticks all of those boxes. This foundation graces my face every makeup day and I apply it with my fingers which helps it melt into the skin and create an incredibly flawless natural base. Similarly with face products the Soap and Glory One Heck Of A Blot Powder is my go to for setting down my foundation when I want a more matte finish to the skin. Admittedly I only tend to use this when I know things are going to get a little more oily, whether this is doing exercise or hitting the dance floor on a night out. This is a translucent powder which is really finely milled and so leaves no awkward powder residue on the skin.
In terms of nails, my one true love is the Bourjois 1 Second Nail Polish Remover. This pot of nail polish remover comes with a built in sponge, making the removal of my nail polish a dream. Simply stick your finger in and twist the pot round a couple of times and it literally removes the nail polish so quickly. These are also great for travel as it means you don't have to worry about carrying cotton pads around with you as you have all that you need in one handy pot. Last but not least with my dry skin type I'm never without the Body Shop Vitamin E Moisture Serum. I've compared this before to the Hydraluron Serum, with its slightly lighter consistency and hygienic pump bottle it's a winner in my books. It has also made a big difference to the texture of my skin, helping keep it smooth and soft for the summer.
