BURBERRY KISSES LIPSTICK REVIEW

When it comes to buying lip products I'm a drugstore girl. Being a university student on a limited monthly budget means I'm very careful with the products I buy. So when the twitter link to get a free sample of the new Burberry Kisses Lipstick was floating about I was all over it. I decided to go for the colour Nude Pink 05 as I wanted something lighter for the summer months. When this dropped through my letter box I did spend the first few minutes swooning over the stunning packaging, and then proceeded to glide the pretty lipstick hesitantly over my lips to test of the formula.

Regrettably I love this lipstick. I say regrettably as the full size version of this comes in at a hefty £25, but boy is this lipstick a beauty. First of all I love the colour, nude pink is a great way to describe it. This is one of those colours that looks great with a smokey eye, but is also perfect for a simple everyday look. The finish is slightly glossy, but is really smooth to apply. In terms of lasting power with it being a hydrating lipstick it's not one you'd opt for if there's going to be a lot of eating or drinking involved, however the sample size is so small there's no problems with carrying it about. I've been using this sparingly over the last few weeks as you only get a limited supply in the sample, however it is my birthday coming up in a couple of months time, so perhaps it's time I treated myself to a proper grown up high end lipstick!

Do you prefer high end or drugstore lip products?
