It's got to that time of year again when I have my go-to stash of nail polishes which I pull out in the christmas season. It does mainly consist of glitter, but there are occasional plainer colours I like to go for. Last year I was obsessed with the Barry M Textured Effect Nail Polishes, and this year has been no different. The colours Lady (the white) and Duchess (bronzy pink) have been gems for me, they apply so easily and obviously look super christmasy due to their sparkly texture. Along the glitter lines the Rimmel Precious Stones Polish in Diamond Dust is actually something my amazing penpal and fellow blogger Sophie (from Sophie Said) sent me a while ago. This is more of a grey with some blue flecks of glitter in, super pretty.
I did make a sneaky Essie purchase a while ago, which will have a blog post of it's own soon. I bought the duo called Twinkle Twinkle Little Star which comes with Bobbing for Baubles and Set in Stone. They look really nice on their own, or layered for something a little different. On the topic of layering polishes, one of my favourite combinations is Barry M's Lychee Polish underneath Maybelline's Brocades Polish. This makes a really shiny fairy lights look on the nails, and is beyond perfect for this holiday season. Finally sometimes I strip it all back and go for a simple red, something like Butter London's Come To Bed Red which is a lovely pillar-box red.
