What's On My Face #9

It's been a long time since I've done one of these! But today I will be showing you what's on my face. I didn't really have a set look in mind when doing this but it turned out slightly autumnal.

I always start with my eyes, so I made sure they were primed for shadow with Urban Decay's Primer Potion before applying M&S's eyeshadow in Taupe all over the lids. This is such a simple easy colour to wear all over the lids everyday. I then blended a tiny amount of the Maybelline Mono Eyeshadow in Chocolate Chic in the outer corners for a bit of definition. No surprise which mascara ended up on my lashes as it's the only one I buy these days, that being the Max Factor False Lash Effect Mascara. I did pop a bit of the Rimmel Scandaleyes Eyeliner in Nude on the lower lash line to cancel out any redness.

Generally a pretty simple face look, I took one pump of the Rimmel Match Perfection Foundation in Light Porcelain and did some blending work with my fingers to even out my complexion. Bit of powder through the t-zone using Soap and Glory's One Heck Of A Blot and the Real Techniques Powder Brush. Still have an ongoing love affair with my Stila Colour Me Pretty Palette, as the eyes were quite neutral I added the end shade Petunia for a brighter pop of colour of the cheeks. Finally I finished everything off by swiping on the Revlon Matte Balm Stain in Elusive which is a gorgeous neutral but slightly darker pink and is a great way to transition into the really dark fall lip colours.

Have you tried any of these products?

  3. i really wished i had asked my friend to pick up One Heck of A Blot for me while she was in the UK. she raves about it all the time now and its such a missed opportunity for me lol. but then again, i'm overloaded with face powders so i'm not exactly at a loss for options...
