Products I've Used Up Part 1 - Skincare

As usual I've been waiting for too long to talk about the products I've used up and so I now have so many that I've split this post in two, the next part will be up on Thursday so make sure you come back to find out the rest of the empty products. But today I shall be telling you about the many many skincare bits I've finished in the last couple of months.

Starting from the left I've used up my Clarins Gentle Exfoliating Toner. This has had it's own review in the past (here) and so I shan't babble on about it too much, however I did love the smell of this and although I was sad I used it up I've actually found a cheaper alternative which I've also blogged about (click here). Another tube of Hydraluron has joined the empties pile, I really love this stuff for injecting some serious moisture to my dry/normal skin. Must pick up another tube as Indeed Labs products are 1/3 off at Boots at the moment! My standard daily moisturiser Nivea Soft has been used up, and repurchased. Not much to say about it except that it's cheap, simple and effective.

Another Clarins product I've used up is my Clarins HydraQuench Cream. I seriously loved this stuff, popped onto the face as the final step at night made my skin feel so smooth and soft. I am yet to purchase this though, as I am considering trying the Origins Make A Difference after getting a sample from Debenhams. One product that I'm super sad is all used up is my Clinque Take The Day Off Cleansing Balm. An alternative to the Emma Hardie Cleansing Balm, this has no scent and does wonders for melting down any makeup at the end of the day. I do plan on repurchasing this but the Body Shop Camomile Cleansing Butter has been rumoured as a cheaper dupe.

Onto the last three now (for this post!). My first cleanse recently has been the L'oreal Micellar Solution, which has had mixed reviews in the beauty community. I've found it gets rid of most of my makeup when used with a large cotton pad (followed by a cleansing balm as a second cleanse) and has not irritated my skin. I shall be repurchasing a Micellar Water, although whether it will be this, the Garnier one or the illustrious Bioderma I'm not quite sure. Finally I've used up The Body Shop Vitamin E Moisture Serum and Vitamin E Eye Cream both of which have served me well for making my skin less dry and dehydrated.

So that's it for now, make sure you come back on Thursday to find out what products I've used up in terms of haircare, makeup etc.

Sorry for the long post, but let me know have you used anything up recently?

  1. Do you use all the products at once or are these spread out over a few years?

My skin is so sensitive, I'm pretty sure it can't handle so much! :( still trying to figure out the perfect cream, etc..
