I came back from Croatia just over a week ago, and something I think I mastered was downsizing my skincare/toiletries for travelling. Browsing the isles of Boots a few weeks before and referring back to ViviannaDoesMakeup's travel series from last summer meant I had to time to plan and streamline the products I wanted to take. When it comes to body care it's very easy to pick up a travel size shower gel, I chose this Superdrug Strawberry and Raspberry one. Haircare was very simple for me, shampoo decanted into an old mini shampoo bottle (I actually took the Herbal Essenses Dazzling Shine Shampoo) and picked up a mini Aussie Conditioner in Boots.
Dentists are great places to stock up on mini toothpastes, my dentists often have a bowl of toothpaste samples so I often help myself to one, or two! When it came to skincare I found this great set in Boots for a couple of pounds which came with two bottles and two pots for decanting various products into. I chose to pop my La Roche Posay Exfoliating Toner in one (making sure it was labelled so no one mistook it for water!!) and a couple of squirts of my Body Shop Vitamin E Serum-in-Oil into the other. These were two of the biggest products I would have had to take and so that's why they go priority. In the tubs I put in some of my Clinique Cleansing Balm, before it sadly ran out and my Nivea Soft moisturiser in the other. Eye cream and Serum were in small pump bottles anyway so they just came as they were - Body Shop Eye Defence and B.Nourished Night Serum if you're interested. My toiletries bag closed with ease and I felt like I'd packed the perfect amount #winning!
