Bloggers Around The World - America

The final Bloggers Around The World today, I really hope you've enjoy it, I've loved reading the responses and interacting with some of my favourite bloggers. Thank you to all the amazing bloggers involved and thanks to Camey from La Petite Primp for answering these final questions.

Where did your love for all things beauty come from?

Believe it or not, my love for beauty pretty much came out of nowhere. I’ve always been low-maintenance and had zero interest in makeup until after I graduated college/university and stumbled across my first YouTube video – Elle Fowler’s Clarisonic review! A few hours down the YouTube rabbit hole later, I was skipping off to Sephora with a list of product recommendations and that was the spontaneous generation of my beauty addiction…

Which is your favorite drugstore to shop at for beauty products?

I love Target. Wide, spacious, well-stocked aisles with some nice backlighting? Hell yeah!

Do you have a favourite blog/s?

Oh, do I…  I love reading blogs as much as I love my beauty products. My favorites are blogs that feel like they’re written by a longtime friend – chatty, honest, relatable, and full of laughs. It’s a lengthy list but these are some that always put a smile on my face –  Life Set Sail, That Grace Girl, Ginger N Roses, The Lovely Prose, Vivianna Does Makeup, Beautures, 9 Out Of Ten, Tiny Paint Pot, Ellalogy, Pale Lily, Qworter Life Crisis, and of course, Beauty Babbles!

Which five beauty products could you not live without?

It’s been a summer or minimal makeup so this list is surprisingly easy to write at the moment. NARS Velvet Matte Lip Pencil in Red Square (a no brainer), waterproof mascara (my current favorite is the L’oreal Voluminous Butterfly), NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer, Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair (I can actually see that it’s worked the next morning), and of course, I couldn’t live without the REN Clear Calm 3 Cleanser.

What made you create La Petite Primp?

After being an avid blog reader over the last couple years, I wanted to give blogging a try and created La Petite Primp in March. Not very many of my friends in real life are beauty-obsessed so it’s been amazing to finally have friends who get as excited as I do about lipstick!

Do you see yourself blogging in 5 years?

I love blogging and will keep doing it as long as I love it. I’ll be honest though, being in my mid-twenties, I feel a little “old” on the blogging front sometimes – in five years I’ll be in my thirties! I can already tell that my beauty habits are changing, I seem to be figuring out what works best for me and sticking with the tried and true.

Do you feel there are any downsides to the blogging community?

For the most part I feel like the blogging community is filled with such kind, supportive, and lovely ladies. My boyfriend Adam always sees the comments on my posts and says, “Geeze, everyone is so nice!” It’s true! Social media is a great way to promote your blog and meet other bloggers, but sometimes I get so bummed out when I’m on Twitter and see not-so-subtle jabs at other bloggers or a lot of negativity. Blogging is supposed to be fun and I don't see the point in bringing other people down.

What are your favorite things to do in San Francisco?

Eat! Seriously. SF has amazing food and there is always something new to try. Some of my favorite things to eat in the city are: crab dumplings from Shanghai Dumpling King, brown butter ice cream from Humphry Slocombe, custard French toast from Nopa, a reuben sandwich from St. Francis Fountain, pizza from Pizzeria Delfina, I could go on and on… Aside from eating, love going for walks in this city, all the neighborhoods have such a distinct character. Finally, I’m super excited because our real summer is just about to start which means that there’s going to be a lot more beach-going in the next two months. I like to head out of the city for that!

So that's it! Maybe I'll do another series like this at some point, I've had so much fun doing this! Thanks again to all the bloggers and if you've missed the last 5 then make sure you head on and find out the others bloggers I interviewed from around the world.
