Superfacialist By Una Brennan Clay Mask

I mentioned in my March Favourites that I was preparing a review for the Pore Purifying Clay Mask, so here it is today. A while ago my skin was being a bit unkind, I had lots of tiny white spots in random patches on my face. As I usually do when I'm having skin issues I headed to Carolines Hirons blog and discovered I needed to purchase a clay mask. When I was next in Boots I picked this beauty up for £8.99.

When you apply this to the skin it has a lovely cooling sensation. It's a fairly thick grey cream which goes on like a moisturiser but dries in about 10 / 15 mins of application. It does say to keep it on until it sets but I'm more than likely to be found sporting this on my face for the whole of the Sunday #bbloggers chat! I tend to use this 2 to 3 times a week, I've been using it religiously for a month or so now and have noticed such a difference in the way my skin feels and looks. It makes my skin look fresher and it feels like it's had a super clean out of any nasties. I remove it with a warm wet flannel, I must admit it isn't the quickest for removal as it takes a few rounds of soaking the face to budge it. This is the first product I've tried from Una Brennan and boy is it love.

Have you tried any products from this range?

The Sunday Post #1

Today I thought I'd post something a little different, with lots of bits of information, and things I've been loving this week. Kind of like a weekly round up but not…?

TV wise I am a big fan of either police dramas or programmes such as 90210, Made in Chelsea and the likes. This week me and my dad have been watching catching up on two police dramas; Undeniable and Line Of Duty. Undeniable on ITV was a two part series about a woman called Jane finding the man who killed her mother. I loved the storyline although things did move pretty quickly considering they had to sum everything up in two one hour episodes. Line Of Duty (series two) on BBC Two we absolutely loved, starring Keely Hawes who is a phenomenal actress, the story is the unfolding investigation of the death of four police officers who were killed in the line of duty (hence the name of the series). Gripping and constantly changing me and my dad adored watching this series.

On the beauty/makeup side I've been loving testing out the Revlon Photoready Primer. I've also been adoring my new phone case from Alphabet Bags that says 'Meow do you do' and yes there's no denying I copied fellow Kate from Gh0stparies. While we're on the topic of blogs I've been loving this week Isobel Rose, who is currently studying in Spain which I'm insanely jealous of, and Thunderlove who is written by Natalie and her blog posts are interesting and always different which I really enjoy. Specific blog post mentions go to Behind These Closed Eyes did an amazing post on her MAC Lipstick collection with really helpful swatches, admittedly it did make my wishlist grow dramatically. Last but not least my favourite song of the week has been Ain't It Fun by Paramore.

How's your week been?

The Best Of: Hydrating Serums

Here's the deal. I have dry skin and it craves moisture. A while ago I got sucked into the Indeed Labs Hydraluron hype and have not looked back since. Hydraluron is a thick gel like textured serum, containing a pure form of hyaluronic acid which helps lock moisture into the skin. The tube photographed is my second tube which I'm currently working my way through, and my gosh I love it so much. It makes my moisturiser glide onto my skin so easily and really helps inject a moisture boost to my lacklustre skin.

However, at £24.99 I found I went through my first tube a little too quickly for my liking, so when I spotted the Vitamin E Moisture Serum in The Body Shop for £11 I whipped it up. The Body Shop Serum is much thinner in consistency than Hydarluron so I opt for using it in the morning just because I find it sinks into the skin quicker, and I for one do not have bags of time to be waiting for any skincare to absorb early in the morning!

I've definitely been getting more into serums recently, let me know your favourites in the comments!

(A Late) March Favourites

Sorry for the lack of posts recently, my life has pretty much been revision, revision, revision, work, revision, revision etc. I also know it's a bit late but hey, better late than never! So here are some of the products I loved using in March.

March was the month of skincare for me, I didn't really wear foundation/cc cream very often so I found the way to make my skin look as healthy as possible was using the Una Brennan Clay Mask twice/three times per week. This is really cooling when you first apply it to the skin and dries so you can't move your face much in about 10/15mins (although I'm often found sporting it for the whole of the #bbloggers sunday chat!). I've found this has really cleared up some of my breakouts and leaves my skin feeling fresh and clean. Full review to come soon!

Secondly I've been loving The Body Shop Vitamin E Serum-in-Oil. I've had this for a while now and absolutely love it! What I tend to do is mix three drops in with a blob of moisturiser and rub into my face right before bed. It's lightweight, it doesn't smell funky and you wake up with a glowing complexion. A winner in my books! Nina by Nina Ricci has been my March fragrance, the bottle is adorable and the scent is fruity, mainly apple and sweet so perfect for spring.

Finally on to makeup, my MAC Eyeshadows in Brule and Sable have been gracing my lids. Brule as usual being my all time favourite brow bone highlight, subtle, matte and also a great all over the lid colour to pair with a statement liner and red lip. Sable I got when I was on holiday last summer and haven't used it too much but it is so easy to sweep all over the lids for a quick simple but pretty smokey/everyday eye. Got many compliments when I wore this too. And last but not least Barry M's Gelly Shine Polish in Blue Grape has been the highlight of my nail choices last month. Opaque in two coats and an amazing cobalt blue colour for spring, again many compliments followed my wearing of this!

What've you been loving in March or this month so far?
