An Ode to Lip Butters

When the Revlon Lip Butters first came out it took me while to buy my first one, but once I did I knew the addict had begun. The first lip butter I owned was Peach Parfait, the most lovely darker peach colour that I love wearing all year round. Next I picked up Juicy Papaya when they came out as what I thought was a limited edition collection but they're still in boots now so I don't know what that was about. Juicy Papaya has been well loved, it has even had to go into the fridge as it melted in my bag after being carried about so much. This shade is a perfect coral which is always one of my main lip choices in the summer months. Estee from essiebutton, who is a massive enabler for me, made me go out and buy Candy Apple, the most perfect easy to wear casual red. The main thing I love about the lip butters is they're so easy to apply and maintain, as well as not being at all drying.

Berry Smoothie was an impulse buy, I wanted an light berry lip that added a bit of colour but nothing too in your face and obviously the lip butters fulfil that gap again! I've worn Berry Smoothie so much over the last couple of months, it's by fair one of my favourite fall/autumn colours. And finally the latest editions to my ever growing collection were Sweet Tart and Macaroon. I've been eyeing up Sweet Tart for a while as it's such a pretty pink that is nothing like I have in my stash already. Macaroon is arguably very similar to Berry Smoothie, but slightly more red toned than pinker toned.

In summary I love the lip butters because they're easy to apply, have an amazing shade range, are moisturising on the lips and the packaging is also a beauty. These need to be in everyone's lip product collection!

Have you tried any lip butters?

My Week In Photos #3

The lion / My beautiful new school bag / Mini ootd
Eating choc while watching the NTA's / Philosophy hurts my brain / Dressed up as Wheres Wally
Forever in love / Tasty food after work / Sunday morning eats

Hello again! This week has gone so quickly, which is not good because I have a university interview coming up which I'm extremely anxious about. I have been loving my new school bag which I found in the sale at Accessorize at a bargainous price of £19.50. I've been really trying to cut down on the amount I carry though as I always end up with a dead arm! Highlight of the week has definitely been going to Wagamamas with a friend from work after our shift and having an amazing cha han followed by half moon pancakes.

How's your week been?

The Body Shop Honey Bronzer

If someone had said to me last year in a few months you'll very rarely leave the house without putting bronzer on your face I'd have laughed and ignored them. For so long I watched beautiful girls on youtube contouring their face and looking so natural yet whenever I tried I just ended up with a dirty looking face rather than naturally sculpted cheeks.

Cue The Body Shop 50% off sale. I'd heard the likes of Estee from essiebutton and Lily Pebbles mention how amazing this bronzer was, so when I found out I could try it for half the price it went straight in my online basket and into my hands. This bronzer is honestly incredible. I have the lightest shade; 'Light' and it doesn't make me look muddy it just adds that I've-got-a-sunkissed-glow look that I lack in the winter months! The design of the product itself is a beauty and it's really easy to blend which is obviously a quality I look for as no one wants a harsh line on their cheek! Words cannot describe how much I love this bronzer and I use it every single day that I wear makeup.

Do you wear bronzer regularly?

After the #bigblogmasproject my blogging idea bank seems to have left my head, it's only this morning that I suddenly had a burst of inspiration to take some photos. I love reading 'what's on my face' posts, because it's great to see what products people are actually wearing rather than just reading a review on a product. Today I wanted to go for a more spring like look as it's actually sunny and I'm wearing floral so why not start to embrace the spring (even though it's not quite here yet!). Here's the products that are on my face today.

- Gosh Illuminating CC Cream in 01 Porcelain
- Soap and Glory One Heck of a Blot Powder
- The Body Shop Honey Bronzer in Light

- Urban Decay Primer Potion
- Natural Collection Eyeshadow in Willow
- Urban Decay Naked 2 Palette Eyeshadows
- Maybelline Master Precise Eyeliner
- Mac Brule Eyeshadow
- 2True Eyebrow Pencil
- Max Factor False Lash Effect Mascara

- Revlon Juicy Papaya Lip Butter

I hope you like this look! Have you started to wish for the arrival of spring or do you prefer the cozy winter months?

First day back at school / Driving practise / Time for a lush bath

My gorgeous kitty / A country inspired outfit / Cups of tea and new book light

Amazing smelling candle / Time for a run / FOTN for a meal

I though it would be nice to start doing this, mainly to help me blog regularly! I love reading these blog posts on other blogs as it gives me more of an insight into the blogger behind the computer and their life. I hope you've all had a lovely week.
