HAPPY DECEMBER! #bigblogmasproject

Hello everyone, so if you follow me on twitter (link) then you'll have known that this year I'm taking part in the #bigblogmasproject. Created by Nicole from Cole of the Ball (link) this project was just what I needed to A. Get back into blogging and B. Get into the christmas spirit. If you want to follow all of the #bigblogmasproject posts from all the bloggers involves then there is a twitter account here (link) and the hashing #bigblogmasproject will be the one stop place for posts. My posts won't particularly be following a theme although I do have 5 days of lip product posts coming your way!

Today to kick off blogmas I thought I'd show you the advent calendars in our house this year. Being creative often means I make my mum an advent calendar and this year has been no different. I bought some paper from Hobbycraft (link) and used these templates to cut out the cone shapes in different sizes (link). I then used UHU to glue them together and make sure the cone stayed in shape. Finally I added the numbers and popped a little treat inside each one!

My house advent calendar is from M&S (Thank you Grandparents!) and is called the 'Woodland Cottage Advent Calendar'. I much prefer these types of calendars to chocolate ones, I think they're cuter and it stops me scoffing chocolate leading up to christmas day. So they are the advent calendars in our house this year. I hope you've enjoyed this post and I shall talk to you tomorrow on the #bigblogmasproject day 2!

How many advent calendars do you have this year?
