In-Flight Essentials

As it's the summer holidays, many of us are packing our bags and heading off on holiday. If you are travelling by plane (my favourite form of transport!) then you may find it useful to keep a few beauty bits with you on the flight. The air on flights is very different to on ground level, meaning you lose moisture much quicker. These products will help you keep hydrated and feeling fresh after a long flight.

I never fly with makeup on, I like to feel bare faced and clean (personal preference). Many flights now provide food, and with toilets not being the quickest option to stay clean I always take a hand sanitizer, more specifically Cuticura Passion & Mango Gel, to make sure I get rid of many nasty germs before eating flight food. As mentioned before, moisture levels are down on flights, so a hand cream is a must to keep those paws nice and soft for the journey. My choice is Soap and Glory Hand Food as it's the perfect consistency and sinks in quickly. Now depending on how long your flight is you may choose to skip out on this, but I always take a tube of pretty thick moisturiser, for if my face is feeling a bit tight or dehydrated. The Nivea Soft Cream is great because not only can it be used on your face, but on your body too - perfect for dry elbows or anywhere else.

Like I said, I'm not a makeup wearer on flights, but just before we land I like to add a like something-something to make sure I feel fresh and presentable after a long flight. I don't know what I'd do without my Travalo, (currently carrying Daisy by Marc Jacobs). Of course you can opt for a rollerball or whatever takes your fancy. Finally I like to carry either a tinted lip balm or my Clinique Moisturising Gloss in Raspberry as it hydrates while adding a beautiful wash of colour to help brighten your face. Of course, keeping all products in a zip-lock bag and under 100ml is compulsory, making these my chosen products that will be with me when I hit the skies.

Marvellous Midi's

I go through phases, sometimes I wear rings, sometimes I don't. At the moment I've been really loving midi rings as they're delicate and go with any outfit. Having tried numerous times to find some fairly cheap, light weight midi rings, I managed to pick these up in River Island for only £2! If anyone is interested, I got the size large as I wanted them to sit just above the joint of my fingers.

I honestly cannot rave enough about these rings, yes they're not pure gold, but the design is so beautiful, I've received many compliments when I'm wearing them. Showcased on my birthday with a coral/red dress, these looked absolutely stunning. Something many of my friends have asked me is if they fall off a lot. Now whether it's because I have them pushed down as far as they will go, or because they are so lightweight, these do not budge. I even did the whole shake-my-hands-like-a-luny thing as Essie (essiebutton) did, and they didn't move. I'm very much into the midi trend right now, especially with these!

Have you tried midi rings?

My EOS Obsession

Ever since I saw an EOS Lip Balm on youtube, I knew I needed them all. My collection began one christmas when my auntie from America sent me the Summer Fruits and the Honeysuckle flavours, the excitement that came with them was crazy.

In Summer 2012, another beauty was added having being quickly snapped up in Ulta, the Strawberry Sorbet Flavour was mine. Last Tuesday not only bought my 17th birthday but two new additions to my ever growing collection. Lemon Drop SPF 15 and Sweet Mint are the two newbies, making my current collection up to five! I am still lusting after the Tangerine, Passion Fruit, and Pomegranate ones. And I know you can pick these up online, but to me there's something really special about receiving them as a gift or buying them in a foreign country!

How many do you own?
