What's On My Face #6

Hello everyone, back with another what's on my face today. This is a look I've been sporting quite a lot recently.

Some (most) days, I don't wear any foundation or powder. Instead, I prime my eyes with Urban Decay Primer Potion and move onto eyeshadow. For this look I used my Naked 2 palette and really simply put Tease in the crease, YDK all over the lid and Bootycall in the inner corner. Browbone highlight was obviously MAC's Brule Eyeshadow, followed by a small line of Collection's Extreme Felt Tip Liner along the lash line. Curl those lashes, apply mascara, I used Rimmel's Accelerator Endless mascara then applied Rimmel's Nude Eyeliner in the waterline to blank out any redness that could make you look tired. To make the eyes look wider I added some YDK to the outside corner of the lower lash line with a small angled brush, another makeup step I've been doing a lot recently.

For the rest of my makeup I added some Collection's Illuminating Touch Concealer under my eyes to brighten and perfect and then applied my beloved Revlon Lip Butter in Candy Apple, an easy, quick red lip that is moisturising so really comfy to wear.

What have you been loving recently?

Barry M Gelly Shine in Papaya

Barry M Gelly Shine Polish in Papaya (£3.99 Boots)

It's no secret that I; 1. Love Barry M and 2. Love their Gelly Shine Nail Polishes, so this post probably won't be a surprise to you! The other day my friend left some nail polish at mine (5 to be exact) as we were filming, so I gladly (with her permission) put on one of the Gelly Shine polishes I've been holding off getting as I wasn't sure if it would suit me.

Papaya is a bright coral/orange polish, with the perfect balance. I am not a huge 'true orange' polish wearer but this just adds a hint of orange without washing me out. This shade is has a great formula, staying power and shine, as do all the others from the range, but this colour is the pinnacle of summer. I will definitely be purchasing this after the return to its rightful owner.

Have you tried the Gelly Shine polishes?

What's On My Face #5

The other evening I went out for a Chinese, so I thought I'd give myself time to film a 'What I Wore' video for my channel (link here) and I managed to squeeze in a few snaps for a 'What's On My Face'.

I always do my eye makeup first, so I started off by priming my lids with Urban Decay Primer Potion, which really needs repurchasing some time soon. Then I took my Naked 2 Palette, popped Tease in the crease and YDK all over the lid. I then highlighted my browbone with MAC's Brule. Eyeshadow done. Quick slick of the amazing Collection Extreme Felt Tip Liner and I was ready for a coat of Rimmel's Lash Accelorator Endless Mascara, which makes my lashes long and curly. By applying Rimmel's Scandaleyes Nude Eyeliner on my waterline I cancelled out any redness down there. Lastly, a dab of Bootycall from the Naked 2 Palette in the inner corner to brighten my eyes and that's the peepers done.

For my base, I used non other than my beloved L'oreal True Match Foundation in N1 and I've been applying this with a beauty blender recently as I find it helps the foundation look just like second skin (win!). I've been loving the Collection Illuminating Touch Concealer to brighten under my eyes, so I blobbed that on in a triangle shape to brighten and conceal. As I have dry/normal skin, I find I don't need to powder so I just applied the bronzer from the Sleek Face Contour Kit to the back of my cheeks, a bit of Natural Collection's Pink Cloud Blush on the apples of the cheeks and finally a sweep of the highlighter from the Sleek Face Contour Kit to add that summer glow.

Stupidly I forgot to photograph the lip product I chose to wear, which was my Barry M 11 Coral Lipgloss which I'm still currently having a love affair with. A spritz of Urban Decay De-Slick and I'm all ready to go.

What do you think of this look?

Top 10 Summer Nail Polishes

Summer finally feels like it's on the way, so when my nail polish obsessed friend Sarah came over I thought it would be the perfect time to film a 'Top 10 Summer Nail Polishes'. Sarah bought five from her own collection, and I chose five of mine. Oddly, the seemed to be either a shade of blue or a shade of pink...interesting! Anyway, if you want to film out which ones we picked and why, check the video below!

What are your top summer polishes?
